How Data Science is Changing the World
Tech San Diego is excited to announce the second annual Data Science Day will be happening this May 2021.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, we will be holding this event online.
Join us online on May 12, 2021 for a look at the role that San Diego Data Science is changing the world. Featuring a panel of experts from leading data science companies in the region and moderated by FICO Chief Analytics Officer, Scott Zoldi. Then, a series of lightning talks by scientists from Rady School of Management and Halicioglu Data Science Institute moderated by HDSI’s Founding Director, Rajesh Gupta. Finally, the Keynote Speaker will be Jeffrey Yau of WalMart Labs.
Student Event: Coffee Chat with Data Scientists on Microsoft Teams
Beginning with a panel discussion about the general role of a data scientist, students will then have a chance to join a rotating flash mentoring session with local data scientists and be able to ask questions about the role of a data scientist within their respective organizations. This portion is complimentary to students from UCSD and other institutions.
