Hosted by the UC Institute on Global Conflict and Cooperation and UC Berkeley’s Center for Long-Term Cybersecurity, this workshop will evaluate the role of firms, governments, and other key stakeholders in the rise of industrial policy in important states in the cybersecurity industry. In particular, it will focus on the U.S., China, Japan, the EU, the UK, and the international context. Experts will discuss their papers and provide a Q&A session. As one of the first academic efforts to target cybersecurity industrial development as industrial policy, this workshop and the papers presented are part of a UC-system cyber research program. Attached is the workshop agenda.
