Her most recent research explores how global value chains and trade flow are evolving\, and on how digital flows are transforming globalization and creating new winners and losers. Dr. Lund has an active travel schedule discussing research findings with CEOs and other executives at global Fortune 500 companies and she is a frequent speaker at global conferences.  She has authored numerous articles in leading business publications\, including Harvard Business Review\, The Financial Times\, The Wall Street Journal\, The Washington Post\, and Foreign Affairs. Susan holds a Ph.D. in applied economics from Stanford University and a B.A. in economics from Northwestern University.  She has lived and worked in Africa and Asia and currently resides in Washington\, DC. \n \nHenry Marcil is an Engagement Manager with McKinsey’s Operations Practice\, based in San Francisco. Henry serves operations and engineering management teams across aerospace & defense\, electronics\, industrial equipment\, telecommunications\, and high tech on topics related to manufacturing\, supply chain\, and product development. As a leader in McKinsey’s Supply Chain Resiliency service line\, Henry drives thinking and solution development as relates to identifying supply chain risk and building resiliency. Prior to McKinsey\, Henry served as a weapons systems expert for the US Government and mechanical engineer for Lockheed Martin. DESCRIPTION:As the second convention hosted by Veteran Security\, our goal is to continue to further the vision statement of our company; “A world where no veteran pursuing information security goes unemployed.”  To this end\, VetSec\, Inc. is proud and excited to announce VetSecCon 2020.  Featuring key speakers from across the information security industry as well as experts in areas like navigating the Veterans Affairs benefits claims and issues facing the human side of information security as well as speakers from our very own membership\, VetSecCon 2020 proves to be our most ambitious event yet! \nThis year\, VetSecCon will feature three tracks. \n\nOur first track is aiming directly at military members readying for their transition.  This track will include speakers on job interviews\, resume writing\, LinkedIn networking\, navigating veterans benefits\, educational benefits\, etc.\nTrack two is all technical. Featuring speakers from our own membership as well as industry leaders\, this track will include entry-level information security discussions as well as highly specialized talks.\nTrack three is the human aspect of information security.  Featuring talks on different issues in humanity and how infosec professionals can make a difference\, this track aims to educate its attendees beyond the technical into the philosophical.\n\nThis is the second convention VetSec has hosted. Our first\, in April of 2020\, was by the members and for the members.  This time\, we aim much higher\, and hope to call attention to our mission – to support active duty\, transitioning\, and veteran members of the military who are currently working in or transitioning into the Information Technology\, Systems Engineering\, or Cybersecurity industries.  Our vision is a world where no veteran pursuing information security goes unemployed.  We believe in that vision\, and we believe we can be a huge part of making sure it comes true.
