DESCRIPTION:WIN OVER $2500 IN CASH AND PRIZES\nDescription • The US-Canada Cyber Security Supply Chain challenge can best be described as a “Capture the Flag” event and/or “Digital Scavenger Hunt.” This event brings together cyber security talent with the supply chain industry to compete and solve a pre-determined set of supply chain cyber security challenges. \nFormat • Teams of 4 participants will compete against each other in this competition. These challenges will be of varying difficulty. The more difficult the challenge\, the higher the points awarded. As challenges are solved\, teams move up the leaderboard accordingly. The team that wins the most points at the end of the competition will be declared the winner. The top winning teams will be awarded cash and prizes. \nWhy Be a Participant • This capture the flag competition is a simulation of real-world cybersecurity issues related to supply chain. Participants are given real-life hacking problems\, including finding bugs in websites\, reverse engineering computer applications\, and many more similar challenges. \nMinimum Technical Qualifications to Participate • Participants need to have at least a basic understanding of how computers work. Or help advance the San Diego cyber security ecosystem\, it’s university students and it’s companies?\n\nStarting February 5\, 2021\, NSIN will launch a virtual Mad Hacks: Fury Code hackathon to help DoD end users find solutions to some of the hardest vehicle/drone cybersecurity problems. Participants in this hackathon will compete for up to $70K in awards to continue developing their solutions alongside a team of experts and end-users. Many NSIN Hackathon winners have gone on to win much larger awards post Hackathon as well.\n\nNSIN Mad Hacks is open to anyone who is creative and interested in solving DoD problems. Anyone is welcome to compete\, and you don’t have to be a coder or cybersecurity wizard to succeed. NSIN has had designers\, political scientists\, and business-minded people win our previous hackathons.
